Every living organism is alive. Sounds obvious?

In order for something to breathe and function, it must constantly be pumping with energy and vitality. It has to have something inside that makes it tick.

Providing for the Jewish needs of Erie takes much planning, work, determination, love, commitment to the mission and - that's right, money. Our activities and programs are not funded by Chabad Headquarters. All funding comes from the generous support of private individuals. 

But there is a select handful who go beyond the status quo. They choose to be the heartbeat of the mission. Our Chai Club members provide their rock-solid support and participation on a monthly giving basis. Some give $18, some invest $400. Each one is a crucial part of the team. And you can be too.

How long is my Chai Club membership?

However long you'd like. Some friends join for 12 months, others want to participate long term. You are always free to contact us to cancel your membership.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount?

Nope. You can give each month anywhere between $1 to $1,000,000 (or more).

Do I get something for being part of the Chai Club?

Many somethings. Firstly, the immeasurable merits and blessings associated with giving Tzedakah (charity), especially to such an important cause. Additionally you will receive insight and inside info about the goings-on of Chabad of Erie throughout the year. We may even occasionally surprise you with a nice gift to express our gratitude for your partnership.

How much funding does Chabad of Erie receive annually from Chabad Headquarters?

Great question. The answer is grand total of $0. All our funding comes from regular people who make annual contributions, holiday contributions and, of course, our dear Chai Club members who give each month.

Do I need to re-enter my credit card info every month?

Not at all. Our credit card processor will automatically charge your card once a month the amount you chose. You can sit back and relax and still be part of something huge.
